About the Program

 Functional Medicine Training Built for Nurses

This two-semester program is designed to teach functional medicine through the clinical lens of nursing. Whether you work in primary care, community health, or private practice, you’ll learn how to integrate systems thinking and root-cause care into your scope—ethically and confidently.

The curriculum is being developed in alignment with the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM) and tailored to real-world nursing practice. The full program will include both foundational concepts and advanced clinical application.

What You'll Learn

Semester One: Foundations of Functional Nursing

 Systems biology, core concepts, root-cause care, nursing scope, and biochemistry

Semester Two: Clinical Application & Advanced Assessment

 Complex cases, clinical decision-making, testing, and ethical implementation
